Can you recommend a good no nonscense ISP that connects through a UK exchange please .

I'm currently with Nildram, awesome support and service.

I have the 1mb uncapped service, BF2 pings to UK servers are 10-15ms, most EU servers are 20-30ms and US servers are around 100.
Never had any issues or downtime with them.

Im with BT, they where terrible when i moved house installed my line 10 days late, But on the plus side my connections never gone down and its fast.
Heard that "talk talk" are giving free broadband (40GB limit) However you need to change to them as your telephone provider and I guess support might cost a bit.
Ive got family on telewest cable and its not too reliable some kind of outage every week, they might just be unlucky as Ive also got friends who swear by it.

I am changing as my signal is going from the UK to the USA and back to the UK ,

Hawk checked it oout for me and i am still gettin booted all over the place . I always have the highest ping in a game and im fed up with it .

Wether or not its my internet conn or not i have just lost all confidence in AOL .

Ive got Pipex at work, never have any problems, been with them since the good old days of 28kb/s being speedy, cant tell you much about customer support because in all honesty ive never needed to phone them.
Ive got NTL at home.... fine when its working but terrible with problems, kind of company you expect to tell you to check there website for service outages...... when you have no internet connection.

I've been with Nildram for a few years, excellent company. Low pings too. If you decide to go with them then ask to have interleaving switched off (MAX DSL) when you order as it will help to keep your pings low. I've just finished my 10 days profiling on MAX DSL and I'm getting download rates of 5.5 Mbps and upload of 0.4 Mbps not too bad as I'm just under 2 miles from the exchange.
