spectate players while dead

Is this possible? sometimes you will see a player with a good score on your team and you want to check out how he plays the game...

The only way i've been able to so far is to download the battlerecorder demo after the round. If the server doesn't enable battle recorder it's not possible.

If you are in a squad, you can spectate the other members of your squad by pressing "c". It is only of limited use, meant to entertain you while you wait for respawn. You are still subject to idle time kicks and every time the maps pops back for you to pick a spawn point you dump out back to the map.

you can deselct a spawn point on the big map when dead click on the x the hit c to rotate thru the players on your team to find the guy you want to follow, we do this for training purposes, not thanks to other posters here i realize it's a great admin function too!!!

theres a small yellow X in the upper right of the map. click that to keep the map from getting in your face


then hit C

NOTE: This will not work while "critically wounded" - only if you're dead (either blown up or after your spawn time expires.)

You can, but only during the 15 seconds it says you have been killed....press C to rotate players...

You can also deselect spawn point, close the spawn screen, then hit SPACE to get a free cam that you can zoom wherever to look at things if you want a more general view.
