      Re: Is this hypocritical mines/claymores

If I'd had my way I'd have FF ON for claymores and off for mines
Agree 100%, lumping the 2 together is the worst pairing since Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley...

Yeah, wrenching claymores LOL, that'll happen. Engy goes to wrench mines, teammate runs past him, claymore blows, sniper picks up 2 kills. Either way, they're too glitchy to see engy's lining up in the halls on Karkand to take away 3-4 claymores and hope to earn a repair point

YOu see this is why all these squad posts are strung all over TotalBf2. Because if folks were really playing as a squad. Claymores, C4, snipers, tanks, apcs, and other infantry would pose an almost zero threat to them. But alas......this isnt the case.
Hell, i've been in a tank, stoped at a line of mines. Watching engy after engy walking right by me, and the mines. This speaks volumes regarding where most folks heads are at durring play.

The best way i can see this is if an engy could disable it. Otherwise, we all saw how the nades were last patch. I mean seriously it rendered claymores and mines unusable. It really did.
howie my friend, can i call you friend? i disagree ... pre patch i use to place my mines along side the road or in hidden spots jeeps tanks apcs infantry would go by them thinking what idiot put those there? then i pop up set them off with a grenade and would laugh as they all died, heck i could even place mines in a room where the enemy snipers were sure to go and chuck a grenade in there boom heck one mine on a flag toss grenade boom one to 5 mines piled nice spash radius ...i really love finding new creative ways to use mines or places to hide claymores where my teammates wouldn't die to them..sure it was disapointing when arty or a smart enemy took them out but i guess thats what made the challange fun for me...oh ya i llove sneaking up on a tank throwing down a mine near it then backing up and throwing a grenade at it boom tank gone...man i miss those days, now i have to climb up on top of the tank place a mine on the turret and usually have to die to kill them...

Of course I don't know how you'd get close enough to claymores to disarm them? Maybe give them a semi-upward blast radius.... so you could crawl up to them.

And of course, Mines/C4/Claymores should definately be destroyable by grenades.
ya know you could pic up the stuff u laid down in bf42 i was disapointed bf2 didn't follow suit...if you put it down you should be able to pick it up.

Clays are part of the game, no big deal!

Next time you kill a sniper, grab his kit! If there are any clys left. Place them around the area you killed the sniper (than switch back your kit of course).

I have at least 12-13 clay kills and a ton of laughs from this.

the bottom line is claymore is the cheapest kill in the game

ff should be back on, or limit should be set to 1
