Quick question regarding medals...

In bf2s it says the following is required to get the vertern engineer medal.

IAR: 20 kills while an Engineer
15h while playing Engineer
Basic Engineer Combat Badge

I have the basic and 15h already done and I'm wondering if the 20 kills in a round have to be done without the assist of armor...i.e from your gun only. Are you able to use a vehicle to get the 20 kills as long as you're the engineer class?

I got mine using armor or by art. being a commander. Thats how I get my combat badges of kits i suck at.

You can use anything you want, including artillery if you are commnader, as long you are engineer. Same goes for the badges for the other kits.

The previous post are true and probably the way most players get the kit badges. I havent done that yet. I got mine the hard way. The engineer badge I got by using the AT mines. Use them just like the C-4, catch a piece of armor stopped and put one in front and one in back. Then run away, even if you get killed the mines will explode when ran over. Ive come close to the expert badge for each class and knife also.
Getting the badges this way is hard and time consumeing. However it will ensure that when you get the expert badge that you really are an expert and very deadly with that kit or item. Like I said most people wont bother doing this. I do. But thats just me. . . . . . . .Red

Now I think its easier to do for snipers and engineers, because you can not teamkill using clays or ATMines because of the new patch.

You can get the kills any way you wish. I also be commander when I suck with a kit to get a new badge.

If you don't have many people on a big map the rounds last forever.
I got my Anti-Tank today in a 1hr long round.
I hit some choppers, tanks, and infantry.

You need to find a good strategy on a server with few people and just go for it.

EDIT: You can use armor, helos, boats, or any kit weapons to get a badge for a certain kit.
