Points Difference Between Ranks

I don't know what DICE was thinking, but the points difference between the ranks is ridiculous. 30,000 between first sergeant and sergeant major, then only 10K to the next promotion, then 15K, 15K, 25K, 10K, 25K, 30K and 20K. This doesn't make any sense what so ever. Where is the logic behind this? Wouldn't it make more sense the difference to increase progressively with every next promotion, instead of some numbnuts randomly choosing numbers when creating the ranking system?

yah its like 5000 to 8000 but then 8000 to 30000, sort of hard to get

It's actually 8000 to 20000, but all together it makes no sense, especially with the following promotions.

Im sure they had to work what with they already had, just have fun and before you know it you will be close to your next rank..i would be close to my next but i havent played in the last few days...

well I understand the 20k -> 50k being the longest, because for some people like me, it's the end of a long road.

By that I mean, it's our final set of unlocks.

To be honest, after going from First Sergeant to Sergeant Major (I got all my basic badges out of the way a long time ago) I'm seriously going to give a rat's ass about ranks and so forth.

Don't get me wrong, going for some of the badges was fun, but I just don't see any need to worry about this stuff once my final guns are unlocked.

I'm personally cooling off for a while after I get the promo to sergeant major. Another 5,000 and I'll take a long brake from bf2.

Me too except I am a little closer to the next rank than you. You got 33,000 global points and I got 42,000 but I agree 20,000 to 50,000 is just retarded!

Aint that bad, I was a first sergeant for less than two months. And I thought it was a fine gap.
