    Pre-Optimizing Shaders

Is there a tool/program to optimize all the maps shaders outside of the game? So i could let it run for a while and would never need to re-optimize in game (atleast without changing my vid settings)? would be usefull.

    Nope, no such program.

What for? You can't alter time. It's gonna take time optimize your shaders regardless of whether you do it outside of the game or not. The only time you need to do this is when you change your settings and you have to be in game for that to happen so no, it would not work and there's no way to do it.

It would be handy so you could have it optimize all the shaders overnight, so when you wanted to game you could go straight to it.

overnight? My shaders optimize in less than a few minutes and my PC is hardly meant for gaming!

I didn't mean all night. Say 3 min each, and 12 maps (or something like that), 6 SF maps and 3 EF maps and 3 more AF maps, 24 total x 3 min each = 72 minutes, it would be nice to get that all out of the way at once.

Sure you can, you can alter WHEN it's done, just like he is suggesting. WTF? Why so negative? I think it's a good idea.

Er.... Almost all shader optimization is not done per-map. Just load ANY map and you're pretty much set, if you see the optimizing note any game after, it's just a harmless bug. If it does optimize any shaders per-map, it's like one or two and it's over in a matter of seconds.

In other words, just fire up an SP game once.
