    Account Server

I have an AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 3800+ Overclocked to 2.3 GHz. It is stable proven by Prime95 on both cores and temperatures are fine. I am running a non overclocked nVidia eVGA 6800GS. I am running 2Gigs(4x512MB) Corsair Dual Channel PC3200 XMS Platinum Series w/Heatspreader. Everything runs cool.

MY PSU is this but it was the black version that is no longer sold on Newegg not that that matters:

My problem is it takes very accuratley 99% of the time 20 minutes to log in to my account server. The other 1% it does it on time. This has happened very rarely.

I read you need certain ports unblocked. I don't know if this will fix my problem. I do not even know if they are blocked or not.

    Client Ports:

    UDP 27900
    UDP/TCP 29900
    TCP 80
    TCP 4711
    TCP 29901
    UDP 1500-4999
    UDP/TCP 1024-1124
    UDP 28910
    UDP 16567
    UDP 55123-55125

How do I unblock these though?

    Re: Account Server

try going into your /my documents/bf2/profiles/000x/ folder and edit your general.con file in notepad. delete all the lines that have your recent server information and your favorites (unless you want to keep your favorites). save the file.
you should now be connecting to the account server in less than 5 seconds.
the reason is bf2 querys all your recent and favorites before logging in, and if one of the servers is offline it really hangs up bf2.

      Re: Account Server

No, it did this when first installed, when I never joined a server. Also everytime I start my computer up (if my BF2 disc is in my drive) it askes me if i want to remove or modify BF2.

I was told by someone else on CAL forums that I could delete my entire BF2 folder in My Documents. Is this true? And also please tell me how to unblock those ports.

      Bumps!
