You may need to switch to DVI mode in your monitor's menu.

thanks jimmy, i think that would do the trick:

annd it should sharper the image quality on ur lcd..im still figuring this out

EDIT: i tried switching modes but it would go black and then back to normal and i think its still in analog mode

In mine there is autodetect, if yours has that option use it.

What make model is your LCD?

Unplug analog cable, plug in DVI cable, set monitor to digital input.

I am thinking when you say 'thingy' it means 'adapter'. The 5200 is very unlikely to have DVI support and it is even more unlikely the Norwood Micro has DVI as well.

You are getting a blank screen because of this.

                      Take the 'thingies' off lol

Just use the VGA input/outputs....thats your only option

edit: and btw, the DVI connection will make little difference for you, so just use the regular analog cables.

yea i guess my vid card is broken and it should support dvi cuz it has the white thingy and the blue thingy where u can connect either the dvi or analog cable
