    DICE got scared by ET:QW?

A recent post at the CALeague forum reveals some 1.3 changes:

    1. no real important gun changes at all
    2. no new maps
    3. few maps tweaks but nothing to get happy over
    4. prone spamming still there
    5. commander can now drop humvees

LAST BUT NOT LEAST... no more squad hopping (once your dead you cant join/leave/create a squad)

You can still spawn off the squad leader if he is alive and u was in the squad when you died...

Basicly no cycling/hopping, the squad leader will have to stay back and be a spawn point only...
    commander can now drop humvees

If you take away the squad hopping, that is going to be the death of the competitive BF2 world. If it is true...Way to kill a game.

I posted this yesterday but some admin deleted it thinking it was a lie.

Dropping humvee is open to abuse so much ownage will be handed out on ranked servers by dropping chinese NJ's with the powerfull mounted gun on the carriers

A couple of engis and a few supply crates no helicopters or jets will ever get to take off

                It's Quake Wars. Not BF2.

                  That's bull.
The competitions teams will just find new ways to win.

Squad hopping was only an exploitive use of the Squad mechanic. It sure as heck wasn't a "gaming" skill. You're over reacting.

I squad hop all the time. Its used so much that its becoming a legit tactic.

It's only deemed 'legit' because so many comp teams are using it.
It was never meant to be used that way and EA/DICE knows that and now they're fixing it.

No doubt prone crouch will be the next thing that gets screwed over after squad swapping.

kill competitive BF2? heck, in 21 CW, your team loses the round if you are caught doing it!

Can't say I'll be sheading any tears over spawnhopping going the way of C4 lobbin... but do we have a more reliable source on any of this?

Droppin in Hummer's sounds hella cool, but it also sounds like a perty major implementation. If it's true, I'm looking forward to the screen shots of hummers parked on the TV station roof, the hotel flag on Kark, and various other silly places. :p

I'm eagerly looking forward to having another thing for the commander to not do when I request it.
