What BF2 File Enables SP & MP?

For some ODD reason all of a sudden I can no longer play BF2 in SP - as soon as I click on "Start Singleplayer" it CTD's. I thought that the "AIDefault" File probably controls this kind of thing and had a friend send me a copy of his and I replaced mine - to NO avail.
Maybe it is NOt the AIDefault File? Does anyone know which File in the BF2 Folder enables SP or MP??? If it is a different File - would you please tell me which one so I can get someone to send me a copy to see IF that might get it working like it used to? (MP works normally still)

AIDefault file is for controlling the amount of Bots you can have in single player,
duno why SP would suddenly stop working unless you were fiddling where you werent supposed to be

just use MP, if i need to practise something i create a local server and do it that way atleast then your not restricted to the size of the map
