Ranked server requirements

Quick question....do you guys think 512mb RAM would be enough to host 50 players on a dedicated machine? This is obviously the only server that would be running.

Definately not.

512MB can barely PLAY the game, much less host 50 players.

Not to mention the massive internet connection you'd need. YOu can't host it off your regular home connection.

I was talking about hypernia.com's dedicated server package, not a home connection. I'm not that stuipd.

Sorry to say but hell no.
You need atleast 1.5 for a 32 player.

Hypernia give you the option to upgrade the RAM. Go for 2gig.

do you have any idea how much RAM is requierd to run the bf2 dedicated server on a dedicated host?
thought not
it is less than 150kk !
and does not matter how many players
more players means need bigger cpu and bandwith
I am running 4 dedicated BF2 apps AND dedicated VOIP server just fine on a 1gb
with plenty of room for Radmin, etc

so, for those that are (rofl) -
get your data right before you give advice
