connecting to account server

For some reason it seems to take forever to connect to the account server lately. It's taking upward of 5-10 minutes and then it seems to have connected me to a server already. I have to back out and find the server I want to connect to. The only thing that has changed is upgrading to the latest patch and adding euro forces. Is anyone seeing this? Any thoughts on a fix?

I have disabled virus and firewall just to play with it and no changes.

Do not use the shortcut "play battlefield online now!"
Just use the normal Battlefield 2 one.

There have been some minor errorswith the account servers in the last few days, it will pass.
