Please help - BF2 Noob

Hello all,

I am new here but have been a lurker on the site for sometime now. Well I recently started playing BF2 and I am hooked. My question is on the map "strike at karkand' if you are the USMC a random array of missles will attack certain congested areas as you enter the MEC hostile area and the missles will show up on your radar. Well seeing as how there is no air support on this map who controls the magnitude and location of the missle attacks which occur periodically? Secondly at the USMC bast at karkand there are 2 extremely large guns stationed towards the rear of the spawn point that randomly shoot. Where do they shoot and when? Thanks for help guys!

ohhh, haha. those giant explosions/guns are the commanders artillery. The "missles" are artillery falling (if it shows up on your minimap, that means you blundered into your team's strike.oops.) the giant guns are the actual artillery, if you are playing spec-ops, you can use 2 charges of c4 to destroy your opponents arty if you get to their rearmost base. NOTE: not YOUR teams arty I.E., if you are the USMC, not the big guns at the two front buildings. and artillery is present on ALL maps.

thats commmander artillery u can use when u press tab:) and create one

but arty away from your guys so no teamkills ok

It's called artillery. The commander chooses where to use it, usually at an enemy spawn point, and its on every map.

no problem. One last thing though: you have to be the commander to use the arty.
