When do you get these unlocks for just buying SF? Do I have to go and patch SF if BF2 is already patched? Why is everything confusing lately

After installing SF, you must patch BF2 to the latest version. Best bet is to use the large (full) version of the patch to make sure everything goes smooth.

You'll get access to the SF unlocks after you score some points on SF (ranked) servers.

Mayhaps everything is confusing because you've been smoking too much bad bud?

Meh yeah...I was just about to do that because it wont let me play any SF MP...Figured SF would auto patch itself because I already have BF2 fully patched but nooooooooooo

It couldn't work that way.
When was SF released? 3 months ago? What version of the patch could they have put on the disks? That's right, an old one.

It woulda been cool if they could have jumped in their time machine and skipped forward to get the current patch to put on your disk, but I guess it was out of order the day they printed your copy.

Its a bummer to need the 350 MB update when you probably have been getting the incrementals for the last few months... when i got SF a few week ago it took an hour just to get up and running.

Joined my first game at the very end of the round, got 2 kills, one heal..... and with 20 seconds left in the game, i dropped a nade, elevator doors opened, killed 3 teammates.... ended with -3 points...

After you complete 1 level you get the unlcoks.
