Explosives Badges for destroying assets?

Was there a change made in one of the patches that gives the Explosive badges for destroying assets rather than kills?

I couldn't come up with a search that yield any results that didn't end up being "tips on how to get the C4 badge", so sorry if this has already been asked and answered.

NO, the requirements have been the same since 1.03. Acording to BF2s:
BASIC = 13 Kills with any combo of mines/C4/claymores
Veteran = 23 Kills with any combo of mines/C4/claymores and 50 kills overall w/ exp
Expert = 37 Kills with any combo of mines/C4/claymores 300 kills overall w/ exp

The change was giving points for destroying assets versus none before.

The badge requires KILLS, not destruction.

I got more then enough global kills to get my expert badge but I don't even have my basic.

Just got my Expert Explosives Ordinance today on Karkand.
