Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I have never played an online game before (excpet for a couple Independance Day LAN games with my dad) and I would like to know WTF makes ping so important in OG
ok a lot of other people are better qualified then me to answer this then me. in laymans terms ping is a way of showing how much "in time" you are with every thing thats going on in the "online game your playing" the lower the ping the better (the quicker your sending and recving game information from everone one the sever)
sigh. It's the amount of time it takes for a packet to reach your computer from the destination or vice versa. So less time equals better.
A packet is information. So the server is sending and receiving information to and from your computer. The speed/time of that is measured by ping. Hopefully I didn't befuddle this too much.
Ping is actually the round trip time. It comes from sonar. Like if you are watching an old navy movie when they are looking at the radar they hear a "ping" noise.
Basically, what it does is send information to the server, the server processes it and sends the information back and it is the time in ms it takes to do this. Your computer keeps a record of the time to see how long it takes.
If you are physically far away from the server it will take time for the data to get there. Other things that might slow it down are routers and and traffic across the network.
So, when you are in a game, you are constantly exchanging information with the server, the server tells you where people are and what they are doing and you tell the server what you are doing and where you are.
Obviously, a smaller time is better because you get a more real representation of where players are and your actions are recognized more quickly by the server.
I deleted the wiki link because it sucks if you don't know much about computers.
