Control scheme question...

Is it possible to edit the .con file so that a joystick can double as a 'mouse look'. The reason I ask is because I want to bind a key for the cockpit free look, and look around with moving the joystick (instead of the mouse).

ah, i see. Anyhow, I think this topic has been posted before, so you may try lookin' around. See what you can find. Try searching for 'mouse look'

Skwurl, you got the problem solved?

To anyone else who hasnt solved the problem. Open up your controls.con file in

My Documents/BF2/"my profile folder"

Add this below air controls and helicopter controls lines

ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIMouseLookX IDFGameController_0 IDAxis_0 0 0
ControlMap.addAxisToAxisMapping c_PIMouseLookY IDFGameController_0 IDAxis_1 0 0


EDIT: What it does is simple. As soon as you press/hold control, you can use your joystick to look around the cockpit.

i use the 20 dollar saitek and map views to the buttons on it in bf2 controls set up
