      Soup Nazi: Check your PMs.

Folks, check all the spoofed messages. I received three of them and the first one had a different header. I've PM'd the header to Soup Nazi.

I also recieved the 3 emails, it was pretty damn obvious from the outset it was spoof, as chuy over at bf2s is not an idiot

I do wonder how they got the email addrersses though as they seem specifically targeted at BF2 players rather then mass spams.

I am not a registered at bf2s and my email here and at all other forums is ALWAYS kept private (mainly to stop this kind of spam) also my email address OR forum usernames is not even similar to my in-game name..... i wonder if a sites database has been compromised??

Yep. Got it. Thanks. Anyone else want to email powweb.com's abuse department? I've already sent my $0.02.

I even sent a question to google if there was some way to disable their spamfiltering so I could get more spam. As of now my spamfilter is frighteningly accurat even with the limited ammount of training it's got. My reason for doing this is that it's better to have a personalized filter on the client level than ISP's or other partys filtering your mail for you.

                  Bayesian spamfilters FTW!

                  Thanks anyway though.

                  EDIT: changed wording.

You guys need to check your headers if you can and read Soup Nazi's posts about reporting the spam the MSX's hoast. This is the first real shot the community has had at taking a pop at Maz's nose.

That dude makes a living running scam sites. Get him disconnected and he's screwed.

If you by screwed mean forced to find another host then he's screwed :)

Someone get me his IP address and he's toast.

Switching webhosts is nothing. He will easily do that. With his IP address you can have his internet disconnected at the same time as his webhosting is disabled. That would slow him down.

Even if he's using a proxy which he probably is its not that hard to track him down.

ISP's often share black lists. I've worked at one and have seen reports on abusive users being passed back and forth.

Best case, Maz get's blackballed can can't find another hoast.
Worst case, He's offline for a few days, has to pay the $150 cleanup fee, and has to waste time looking for a new hoast.

Even in the worst case, it's a pain in the arse for him. Any hardship (even minor) we can inflict on that dillhole is worthwhile IMHO.
