Yeah me too :) on Karkand only really as MEC , but i always mine the right hand spawn entrance to stop the armour getting in there to spawn camp. Like you say there never far to go to find a dead mans kit and the dropped mines stay for around a minute i think (i sometimes steal his wallet too )

I also ALWAYS take a snipers kit when i kill them and place both his claymores down and swop straight back, i am always amazed how many people go back to the same spot and find my little present

You know what - the red/bluetag bug - maybe this could be the cause of it? I've been killed and revived only to get the enemies kit many times.

Maybe that's how you get the tag bug? Because if you change the uniform as well when you get someone elses kit - so if you get the enemies kit you get his uniform which gives you a red/blue tag bug.

            Or maybe not...

I thought the red blue tag bug comes when someone switches team couple times or so.

I like picking up kits, especially when I'm almost dead, I pick up medic kits to heal myself. Also when I run out of C4 to blow up enemy assets, I pick up support kits for extra ammo.

Maybe that, I don't know - just had an idea that this could be the cause, or one of the causes lol.

Aye I do the same, picking up kits.

Nope. It's very unlikely that the two are connected. I've seen people spawn with the wrong tags.

What you've seen when you've gotten an enemy's kit after being revived is related to the mechanic I mentioned before. When you're revived, you don't get your kit back, you get the kit that's closest to your body. If an enemy kit happens to be the closest, that's the one you get.

Most of the time if you're the only one that's been revived, you can get your kit back by hitting G (default pickup kit key).

This is also what causes "zombies" (kitless players). It's possible to be critically wounded (usually tramaticly) in ways that send you and your kit flying in different directions. Or maybe your body falls off a building, but your kit stays up there. When someone revives you, there's no kit close enough to be registered so you come back with nothing. Since there's no default arm/upper body animations that don't include a kit, your arms get locked in all sorts of odd positions.

Play with it some time in an unranked server. Get a buddy to play as medic and either kill yourself or get him to kill you in interesting ways. Sooner or later, you're likely to lose your kit. Then you're ready for some Screenshot of the Day action.

All the time...depending on what it is that I am doing...especially the medic, but when a tank takes some anti-tanker out, I will always try his kit on for size...

My only issue is when his pants are too small...LOL:laugh:

                      Always good for a giggle.
