It'd definately be easier to get the good conduct ribbon and medal if it was off

wow i didn't think about that, great point... to me it seems like ff off would be stat padding for the good conduct medal

I think that the question could have been posted better. I think ranked servers are right to have the option on whether to have FF on or off. There are plenty of either available to keep everybody happy. My clan server has FF set to OFF and having tried both I can honestly say that my general enjoyment of the game is higher with FF OFF. I think its funny as feck watching Spec Ops flying up all over the place looking for that special "place" to lob 4 gernades from and then stand there saying "i'm bingo on ammo"!! Half the time they don't think of making a squad either!

Having FF set to ON gives the A H0les to much scope to ruin everybody elses enjoyment for the sake of a vehicle or a vendetta. This is only my opinion guys, don't burn me at the stake for it!!

Won't burn you, but having guys C4 jump to places normally inaccessible isn't what I'd call expanded gameplay. BF/DC has always leaned more towards FF, and I think with the RANKED system it should be a requirement to have FF on.

If you want it off, np, just do it on an Unranked server. Keep the playing field level.

Soft FF = Bullets and vehicles and C4 do friendly damage but Claymores and AT Mines dont...

Hard FF = Everything that can damage the enemy can damage a friendly as well.

I like Soft FF rules because there is no functionality to peek around corners to check for Claymore mines. And AT mines.... well... who knows.
