B key versus V key

Which key does what? I always thought the B key allowed you to talk to your squad members, and the V key allowed you to talk to the commander and vice versa. Is that true? I was reading a guide that said the exact opposite.

It said V key was squad to squad and B was commander to squad leader. Help me out. Thanks.

Go look at your key bindings.

B = squad voip
V = commander voip (either commander to SL or SL to commander)

V is commander, B is squad.

The icons are different too...


When you are talking on commander channel you see a yellow speaker icon with a star on it (that should remind you it's commander) where squad channel is a plain green speaker icon with no star.

^Yes thats right. Unless you change the default controls.
You can only talk to the commander if you are the squad leader, rendering the V key useless as a squad member.

I don't think so. I think V is for SL only to Commander, or vice-versa.
