Where can you play for a long time per round?

I am getting back into BF2 and got SF running finally.

I am wondering what the trick is for getting long rounds. Lower pop servers?

Are servers forced to use certain amounts of tickets if they are ranked servers?

I'd like to try my hand at some higher level badges but it requires something longer than the typical servers im playing on.

Any advice?

Specific servers to check out? I'm USA east.

High Point servers are against the ROE those like Knife only Pistol Only No Armor. Those are examples of what is not allowed anything that limits what weapons you can use are a no no.

What you look for are servers with low player count running the 64 player maps if you have a server with a 64 player map but only 16ppl that round will take a long time and you can earn alot of points because of the length of the round.

They are also good for earning medals & ribbons that have an in round requirement for a certain amount of time

You are allowed to play in a low slot count server that is running 64 player maps as long as you play the game the way you normally would. If the server promotes knife/pistol only or makes you swap flags to keep the round going you need to leave that server ASAP.

Just jump into a server where if it is a 64 map that there is around 30 in there, but the max is 64 and that is fine.

Usually 32 slot servers seem to last longer then the 64 slot servers.

I have played in one server which had only 11 on each side. It was a 64 player map. I don't recall the name of the server. Each round is like taking ages. Quite good if you need to obtain some badges. But then, that is Stat padding isn't it?

Its been said but I'll say it again....


16 player server running 64 player maps. Pure bliss as far as points and kills...just be sure its running ROE rules...meaning you can use armor, etc.

Rounds tend to last about an hour or so.

well you get a lot of points and kills, but the points and kills per minute are significantly less.... the only reason I would play on those is for badges and ribbons.
