Now folks can you lot help me. I have posted on EA, BFROE. and havnt had a reply with the questions i am about to ask .

I have just recently found out with almost a year playing BF2 that high point servers are against ROE. Its there folks in black and white.

in the ROE it states : Server admins may not change any game settings defined as standard for ranked servers (ticket ratios, server password, round time, etc.)(re: high point servers)

has anyone got the answers.....

what is the standard?

Well that is one way of making a high points server. I think most "high points" servers are actually just 64 man maps with 19 player slots...gues it's a technically ok way to do it....but I really have no idea.

I think this is allowed. here's why if you play 64/64 you get like 80-100points Max in 15-25min (1 round). but if you play 64/16 you get 300-500max in 1-2 hours (1 round)

The high points servers they are speaking of are ones where the game play is restricted, such as knife/pistol/revive only, no armor/arty/commander, only flag capping no killing, etc...

Yup spot on. Unfortunately its not 16 players on 64 player maps though I think it should be.

Here are the standard settings all ranked servers must use. These are hard coded and can't be changed anyway.

§1.20 GLOBAL CONFIGURATON SETTINGS – ALL RANKED SERVERS
§ Min Players: 16
§ sv.password = empty string. Ranked servers may not be password protected. Ranked servers are intended to be available to all players.
§ sv.numPlayersNeededToStart = (6 for maxPlayers 16, 10 for 32, 10 for 64)
§ sv.spawnTime 15
§ sv.manDownTime 15
§ sv.ticketRatio 100
§ sv.teamRatioPercent 100
§ sv.punkBuster 1
§ Though it is not required, EA requests that all servers run Friendly Fire at 100% for all settings, including mines (sv.friendlyFireWithMines).
§ Ranked servers must be entirely "pure" with no customization outside of the default content shipped by DICE/EA. Ranked servers will not be allowed to run Mods or CustomMaps, as we cannot ensure the balance of these components. Custom maps are never permitted.

high point servers are servers with low player max. and larger map size (64), these servers usually say "high points" in the server name itself, therefore the term "high points server" they do not necessarily limit your role as a player, like a knife-pistol would
