How many background processes do you run when playing Bf2?

None, I kill everything in taskmgr that has my user name in it, keeps the FPS up :)

I kill every application under my name except xfire.exe, setpoint.exe, atitool.exe and explorer.exe. I have 24 processes running when I end all except those.

18 usaly,i dont even have a firewall running when i play.
im behind a router(firwalled) i do leave my norton running but if i turned that of i would have 15.

ive seen some of me m8's in the 40+ slow,very slow

I have about 39 processes running playing BF2.

But i removed most automated processes, that my pop up in the middle of a game.

At idle my comp uses about 250mb RAM, durining play spikes at 880mb.

about 33 give or take. thats what it was last time I checked. and my bf2 runs fine.

I just jump in and play. At last count Im about 54 processes.

38 processes, still get constant 90-100 fps
