Need to pick a Computer WIZZ brain.....HELP

OK. I have a laptop which has all the system requirements for BF2. Installed the game..no prob's. Wen't on the Easy Info Program and all was well...green ticks throughout. I've downloaded the most recent drivers for my G.card.

Now the fun part. When i load the game up, i get the BF2 start screen, it then goes black for about 2secs then goes back to desktop.

Any one else had this problem.

i had that problem last night when i reformatted but i forgot to restart after installing BF2 and directx 9c and i also installed the lastest patch

After you do all of your installs, make sure to defrag. The only time I've ever had a crash-to-desktop (CTD) was after a patch or booster pack when I didn't defrag.

when u install bf2 it forces you to install dx 9.0c download the lastes direct x 9.0c(feb) and give that a try.

can you give the specs of youre laptop
i.e
speed of cpu in ghz
type of cpu ,amd,intel
how mutch ram?
what gfx card?

is that a p4 intel or a celeron?

that looks like the bare minimum cpu wise,ram is good.

but my 1st instinct is that youre gfx card is not powerfull enough.

do this.

right-click on a empty space on you desktop and go to propierties,then settings,then advance,click adaptor and post me the info there

but what blade said is probably correct, if your vga doesnt have at least 128 megs of ram, it will crash a few seconds after starting up

no...ppl have been able to play with 64mb of video ram..try to find the name of ur video card...
