Re: What would be the next step?
i wish bf2 had more of a community thingy...like from the beginning u would choose to be MEC or USMC or PLA and then it would be broken into divisons from there, but BF2 just lacks a defined and well maintained community so i guess these ranks dnot me nothing

Re: What would be the next step?
To get general, I think that you need expert in just about everything. Which means 100 hours or more in lots of different roles.
I've got about 250 hours, and I think I'm being driven insane by this game. With 2500+ hours, which is about the minimum a good player would need to get to the top, (I'd probably need 714 years), the next thing any sane person would need after completely mastering the game would be:
1) Physical therapy for his arthritic mouse arm and worn out WASD fingers.
2) A pair of hearing aids after listening to the shrieking artillery too long.
3) A platinum gym membership to lose the 25 lbs that crept on while sitting in an office chair for a year or two.
4) A night out with the boys, during which they gradually re-introduce you to women: "This is a girl, Mikey. No, she's not porn. Stop trying to right-click her. Buy her a drink & talk to her instead."
5) Skin therapy to clean up all the zits caused by drinking case loads of Mountain Dew & Bawls.
And probably a million other things, all of which refer to the need to get away from this damned addictive game those crack-pushers at DICE invented. Bastards.
