Third Tier unlocks

well coming back to battlefield 2, having all the 2nd tier unlocks except engineer, im well aware of the new weapons that people are now playing with

I am wondering what would be the best choice for a new unlock

The L8 sniper rifle looks pretty nifty, picked that up a few times, enjoyable

the medics new G3A or whatever looks also pretty swell

but the most attractive one ive seen so far is the one that is placed with the assault class.... im guessing that weapon comes with the flash bang???

these are my top 3 weapons im thinking of, so from the majority of you who have these weapons, or at least one of them... please put your input on which would be the best choice, i love playing as all 3 of these classes... so i don't know, i hate choice because im limited my playing time now that i have a job so i would like to know which weapon would be worth my while for like another 2 months

eh...you have the names all off.

Unlock for Sniper - L96A1/AWP
Medics - G36E
Assault - F2000

To be honest, the best choice is definitely the G36E, even if you rarely play medic, you'll find yourself playing it just because of it.

The L96 really is just another M24 sniper rifle. Nothing is better down to the pure numbers, but the scope; its thinner, and I guess helps people aim better at further distances.

The F2000 IMO is terrible. What makes it bad is the poor sight and crosshairs. There is no direct center pinpoint dot, but only surrounding reference lines. You need to estimate the exact middle, and it is impossible to shoot long range with it. Flash Bangs, eh, not realy that useful.

G36E for the medic is one of the single most lethal weapons in the game in all distances. It only comes in burst and single shot but the burst will outsnipe any sniper, and mow down any DAO clicker in any ally.

I haven't used the 3rd assault weapon much, but the Flashbangs are very handy.. you can flash jets, choppers, tanks, APCs etc

The 3rd Medic gun is VERY accurate with very fast burst fire which can take out enemies very quickly.

The 3rd Engineer gun is EXTREMELY good at mowing people down in close to medium range combat, often before they can do anything about it

The flashbangs really dont work well from my perspective. Every time I've ever been flashed, it was always partial, and never a full flash that would impede my shots. It has never caused me to crash or hit the wall in a vehicle when flashed.

Engineer gun, or Jackhammer is pretty good, but its long reload time and get you killed in many situations.

I like this L96A1/AWP a lot...I think the F2000 is crap.

erm, well i dont use any of them weapons!

So i cant coment! if im medic, i use L85, Assualt, i use the bog standard rifle, M16/AK-101 and engineer - ehich i hardly ever player, i use the jackhammer, or the M11-87.

The sniper rifle, is pretty good, bettert than the M95 in my eyes, and sounds brilliant!

I recommend the turbo wrench unlock for the engineer - expert repair batch guaranteed!!

Or the Bob Marley upgrade for the MEC Medic - comes with a rasta-wig and
and a joint in the med-pack. Gives you god and fly mode for about 15 seconds...

I also enjoy the lightning-strike upgrade for the anti-tank kit. Fries all fuses
of the tank you hit and makes the driver choke of the fumes.... very handy in Karkand....

F2000 was a good alternative to the M-16 before they changed the GL in 1.2. Now I'd use the G3 instead. (I always use the AKs when non-USA.)

I've got a promotion coming up soon- so unlocks are a'comin. I plan on unlocking something from assault, but I'd also like to supplement my engy.

Hm... would you recommend I get the G3 AND F2000? or perhaps the G3 and the jackhammer? I can see that the F2000 isn't too well looked upon...

after my next unlocks, I will not have anymore unlocks until another 12,000 points, at which I'd probably only be able to achieve by next year :P

personally I love the f2000....I admit that the scope isn't anything to be proud of, but as an assault class...I don't see why you really need it anyways. What I use it for is...assault...I can easily turn a corner and mow down 3 or 4 guys before they get a shot off if I'm ready for them (thank you UAVs). Reload time on it is nice and quick as well. The thing I don't like about the g3 is the lack of grenade launcher, cause without that I figure you might as well not even play assault, as they'd just be any other class (cept without med kits/wrench/ammo kit/claymore/c4)....stupid smoke grenade....

I'd probably go with G3 and Jackhammer. You should download the unlock mod to test them if you haven't used them before (picked up from dead people).

With FF now off for mines, I'd get the JackHammer for sure.
