acutally no, the gunners view rectangle is just showing you the direction the gunner is looking.

here's where the gunners view is on regular bf2:

this is the only pic I could find, I know there is a better one somewhere. I think the other one showed the grey area a little higher.

I think most pilots know of this and will raise the nose if they want a TV guided missile. However some noob gunners dont even realise it after the nose is lifted. If i got a good gunner. He will have a well lined up shot.
