Okay before we begin make sure you have the download and Microsoft .NET 1.1 (.NET v2 will not work). If you are unsure if you have .Net 1.1 go to your control panel, add/remove programs and scroll to the bottom and you should either see it or not. If you don’t have it go to WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com and install it. Alternatively you may just try using BF2CC and if it doesn’t work then make sure you have .NET 1.1, check the troubleshooting section or contact myself.
- Find where you saved your file and extract the .zip file somewhere (anywhere you want).
- Run the .exe file and when program starts then you will see BF2 Local Demo Sever (R-Con) listed in the servers box. Click on the blue + next to this to begin adding our server. You will prompted to enter a name for the server. Type whatever you would like in this box as it will not affect anything, it is just to let you know what server you are trying to connect to. Then click OK.
- Now check the BF2CCDaemon box. Then in the IP Address box type the IP for our server. Next in the port box make sure it says 4711.
- Now for the username and password your Game Server Provider should have given you one for the first time to get in. If not use the default one that BF2CC puts in there. Once you get in the first time you can set other accounts up so you can remember them easier.
- Click Login and hopefully you will be in.

6.0 Troubleshooting
Having trouble look here.
Questions:
1. The BF2CC.exe/BF2CCD.exe program won't run on my PC.
- |A| I get the error: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."
- |B| I get a warning message saying that the .NET Framework is NOT installed on my computer, but I know that it is. What can I do?
- |A| I get the error: "ERROR! LoginRefused! You are using an Old version of BF2CC Daemon. Please go to www.BFCC.com to download the latest version.."
- |B| The client just doesn't connect, without the error as mentioned above.
1. The BF2CC.exe/BF2CCD.exe program won't run on my PC.
- |A| & |B|: You MUST have the Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1 installed on your computer in order to run the BF2CC client or daemon. The best way to update your computer is to visit www.WindowsUpdate.com and install ALL available updates. NOTE: Version 2.0 of the .NET Framework will NOT work, you MUST have v1.1 installed.
- |A| & |B|: You must extract ALL files from the downloaded Zip files and put them in their own folder. You can NOT run BF2CCD.exe of BF2CC.exe from a networked drive or a zip shell program like winzip/winrar.
- |B|: There is also a service pack for the .NET Framework which must be installed.
Direct Download Links:
.NET Framework 1.1 Install
.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack
If you want to Re-install the .NET Framework you must delete the following registry key in order to trick your computer into thinking that the .NET framework is NOT already installed:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup"
- |A|: Than the problem is simple: You have the right client, but on the SERVER the Daemon has NOT been updated.
Please download and install the latest Daemon from the Download Section - |B|: If you can't connect and you haven't received the error message as stated in [A], check your firewall/router settings. Most likely there is a firewall or router setting which is preventing the client to use a port to connect.
7.0 The End - Congratulations!
Congratulations! Hopefully you have learned something about BF2CC and how to administrate your server better. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
