sniper accuracy squestion

ive been trying to keep my sniper accuracy up, so if i hit the guy once, does it count as a hit, or does it have to kill him?

like: bullets per kill is accuracy
or: bullet hit is accuracy

A hit is a hit, it doesn't have to kill.

ive been waiting for the headshots, so now, i guess ill do the 2 hits a bit more often

it has to do damage though, you cant be shooting at a tank with your pistol and expect to raise your accuracy

though, ive completely unloaded my LMG into choppers before in hope to raise it just a smidgen
