BF2 Mods-WILL I GET BANNED????

I see many mods patchs that can be uploaded to BF2, is it ok or will I get launched off server??? I am new player and love the game and not sure how it works?? Thanks in advance,

BF2 is a mod on the BF engine, go look at its folder.

Mods don't change your BF2 folder just as BF2 doesn't change your mod folder.

Why would they allow mods if it wasn't allowed?

Is their a guide to download mods on this site???? If not could someone walk me through one as a example??

Find the mods site, download the client package, run the setup exe, click the mods shortcut link.

Theres not much to it although it may differ slightly from mod to mod.

Sounds basic. Last questions is- by the answer above seams like you can only run one mod at a time or can you install many different ones and once their installed they all work every time I play.

I think what the deeper question is running mods affecting the BF2 content and creating "Modified Content" kicks when trying to join a properly configured ranked server to play regular BF2.

I too would wonder if any of these mods are supported.

BF2 isnt affected, as I said have a look at your bf2 folder.

bf2 is locaded in mods/bf2
you mod is located is mods/prmm, mods/usi, mods/whatevermod

The engine is never affected, your BF2 folder is never affected.

Ok, so when I choose to download mods made for BF2, I want to make sure it installs into the "Mods" folder of my BF2's program?

I do have the DC mod on my BF 1942 but have not ran it yet, perhaps after class tonight I'll give it a go.
