Hey , Ive been thinking about making my own maps on BF2 , is there any way to do this, any programs i can use? and if so how hard is it?

Hi pipsavage. From what Ive heard, its VERY hard. And requires alot of patience. Not sure how to do it though

Don't bother. No one is gonna play them because custom maps aren't allowed on ranked servers. I'd recommend investing your time into Valves Hammer editor instead.

well, its not hard at all to make maps. its the toher stuff like making objects and that for bf2 that is hard. i have made quite alot of maps, and its true that not many people will play them, but ther are websites wer u cna go to put ur map on ther server.

to get the editor, go to www.battlefield2.com and get it from the downlaod section. You will probably ned help with mapping, so i suggest you get the tutorials aswell and also drop by the site www.bfeditor.org

there are quite alot of modders and mappers that go on that site that can help you out.

also, i can help you out aswell with them, just pm me and il giv u my msn email.

cool you seem very helpful,, bf42 map editor i had a lot of fun bf2 i couldnt understand and gave up but i still want to make my training map for my team maybe ill try again with ur help

you need to start with BF2Editor. get it from ea's website.
