Problem with unlocks?

i've only been playing the came for just over a month. sorry if this is a noob question or a stupid one. i've unlocked the g3 and the spec ops one (sorry dont' know name) and other weapon i can't remember for what kit though. anyways when i play and kill someone it shows the default weapon not the unlock such as the g3. i thought that once unlocked the new weapon would automatically be used. do i have to do something to select the unlocked weapons. thanks in advance.

when you're selecting your kit at the spawn screen mid game, you have to click a button in the upper right hand corner of the kit box to switch to your unlocked weapon.

Thanks. I'll try it when i get home. i just got promoted to seargent. maybe someone can help me with changing my name so says seargent under it instead of private. thanks again though.

the ranks you see under you name in the forum is based on the number of posts you make in the forums. Not your BF2 rank. If i am incorrect, i am sure it will be pointed out quick
