practice makes perfec, really. im not the best sniper, but ive got veteran sniper and expert sniper on SF. all maps have somewhere to sniper from, some maps have points which are to obvious to snipe from too, choose carefully and try and hit them in the chest, if you get the chance for a second shot (difficult with m24,l96 and m95 becuase or reload) if you dont get the second shot, you will get a kill assist on them, one way or another you get the point(s)

i like to get down and dirty with sniping because my long range skillz arent all that special...if your quick with moving then this method is good for you...also one of the most important things with sniping is to know the difference between cover and concealment....

concealment: not being seen by the enemy but being exposed to gunfire (aka hiding in a bush

cover: being in a position where the enemy cannot directly shoot you (aka behind a low wall while crouching)

for me i find it best on sharqi to sit within easy shooting distance of one of the hot spot flags that eveyone is going for and snipe from there never go on top of the buildings but always next to an alleyway or an easy position to run from and displace yourself..always place your claymores a short distance from yourself in an alley way or stair well that you know someone who wants to get you (especially when they take the flag) will come from...when you hear the explosion know that you are exposed from that side and check it contiuously...

ill shoot someone then displace around a building or wall and then kill someone else...but always stay within your claymore envelope because it will usually allow you to get at least one or two more kills in before you die...

about distance im talking within 200m sometimes even within 100m...i find it so much easier to kill someone when your that close....but mind you you need to be a fast displacer and change your position often...always within your claymores

about the whole shoot and then pistol them to death i find its easier to plug them with another sniper round but that is only determined by distance...if they are 10 m or so away and i shot them once then i either pull pistol or knife

lastly when moving to a new flag location NEVER walk the main streets always follow back alleys and randomly check your 6...also listen for the gunfire...its often very easy to locate someone covering the flag from a distance firing off a couple shots...especially PKM users...once you find their location its quite easy to walk up behind them and knife em....when they dont know your their i find knifing is always the best way to kill them...because if you go and try to snipe them your prolly not going to kill them...then they get up and run around and makes it harder...just walk up over his legs and knife him in the back of the head! :)
