Guys i keep getting kicked when on line late and traffic is heavy .

When i click on my modem signal , you know the green arrow in the bottom right hand tool bar , it tells me ;

TX : 288 kbps
RX : 2272 kbps

Yes im a noob , can you please tell what this means and does it need sorting .

Im keep getting kicked form the servers and a message saying YOU HAVE LOST CONNECTION WITH THE SERVER .

Its driving me mad ???

Get rid of it as fast as posable, it basicly crap. I'd suggest Virgin.net ive had no problems with them or if you have the money zen.co.uk

Theres not much you can do when your internet trafic is heavy, you could phone AOL but there customer support if compleatly useless.

I bet they run connections at 200/1

Presumably your internet broadband connection is 2mb RADSL, then those figures above are fine. There are other issues which may be causing the problem; line attenuation (basically signal loss through the telephone line: unlikely in your case), a high contention ratio (the network bandwidth shared between users: likely), a problem with your local exchange switching equipment (unlikely), AOL's network routing (likely) etc...
I have to agree with the rest of the people here who have suggested you ditch AOL. There are better server providers out there who offer more bandwidth per £ and who don't have the flakey network architecture AOL has. You may be able to get up to 8mb connection for the same price as you're paying now. Depending on if your exchange has been switched to ADSL2 and if your phone line can support the higher speeds. (www.nildram.net here: £25pm 4mb connection, 50GBpm download limit, 15ms pings in UK, 90-100ms US East Coast)
