In need of plane tips

I have been getting into flying lately and I am having trouble taking out helos.

I slow down, lock on with my missles, wait for their flares, then by the time I can re lock on the helo I am already past it

Any other tips would be appreciated

dont just rely on missiles

Yeah I had trouble with that too, but viper is right. Machine guns are the only way to go against choppers.

don't waste missles on heli's... thats the worst thing to do. Just aim for the cockpit glass, and it will blow up really fast.

yeah going guns on a chopper is really the only way 2 take it down, if u use missiles, u will need 2 go around for another run, risking being picked off by enemy fighters, like i found out on wake island, bloody j-10 straight on me.
