Well I've installed it and showed ALMOST a 1% increase in 3DMark06...

Haven't played in game yet, but it probably won't be much better.

How is updating your graphics drive a hassle or dangerous?

Technically you should run the cat-uninstaller first but you can just run the installer and let it install.

It takes me all of 10 minutes to download the drivers, uninstall the previous drivers, restart my computer, install the new ones and restart again.

Well, I just said hassel, not dangerous. Took me a half hour. I have to reset all my settings for the driver (including over clocking). TO ME, all of that is a hassel. But I did in anyway, this month. I usually don't bohte unless it seems like there might some minimal performance improvement.

takes less than 15 minutes ... download, uninstall, registry clean up, reinstall...

I love Ati driver support... only if BF2 could have such timely support...

No worries about a hosed boxed ever... if you're upgrading drivers correctly.

well wehn i got my x1600 512MB pro agp i had to reformat my computer because the new AVIVO and the High Def Rendering stuff didnt like the stuff that the x700 left behind even after uninstallation. Other than that one instance ur right.

next time, run the drivecleaner and registry cleaners before you reinstall drivers. Works like a charm every time.

Doesn't do anything for BF2 + I've read a fair amount of posts on the Futuremark forums where people are experancing corrupted screens after installing the 6.4's

Apparently the HD/AA is broken in Obvilion again.

seriously... nazis.. they think they're cool because they can spot out duplicate threads... sure mutiple threads about the command glitch.. but give the guy a break on a thread that has already been posted in the geek forum.
