Yeah... unfortunatly, it's fairly simple math. How do you think bots in other game manage to hit you while you're moving (usually only when you set the difficulty to hard, tho)?

That said, I didn't see anything at all suspect in this vid. It's a bunch of short clips strung together and from different rounds. For all we know, he could be making those killer shots very rarely. Hehe, I'm NOT a good sniper, but if I recorded and edited together all my good shots, I'd prolly look like I was amazing too.

I do not think that they are ready yet. Some aimbots in BF2 work by color, they make enemy player a certain color and aim at them. Which is useless. In BF2 movement is so ridiculously complex that I cannot imagine an effective aimbot for it. And for a precise skill like sniping? No way.
Wow, Putfile is starting to suck. I ve been getting worse and worse results everytime. Now it is refusing to go. Thats it, I am sick of this. PLEASE upload to rapidshare!

And I'm going to agree. Quake-games where latency was a big issue (no network interpolation) often had compensation parameters for your RTT. Also if you can hook the game so that you can read player coordinates you can easily add calculation for bullet lead and trajectory. It's just some math to it. Ofcourse, if the player does something unexpected like stopping instantly it'll be inaccurate for the amount of time that is your RTT.

It seems rethorical than now doesnt it?

            Understand?

But plz continue to shock & awe us with your aimbot insights. Its amusing if nothing else. And plz post some account here so we can verify your own exploits in the field of sniping. Or the lack thereof.

Ok, I made an assumption, but I still dont see how an aimbot can be more effective than a human player.

The reason why I react strongly to this is because people occasionally kicks me for this kind of sniping. It's frustrating and I don't want anyone to have the illusion that this level == aimbot.

If I took all my amazing long range and one shot kills and condenced them into one clip, I'd look good... it would just be a very short video.

Believe me mate, I was watching this vid, and suddenly a big grin formed on my face, and my eyes got wet
Very good little sniper movie. You also have good anticipation skills, and you're constantly scanning your surrounding. It also shows that you know the maps, and it's spots very well. I like that.

Whoever stated that you cheat is full of crap.
I have a very similar playstile with the sniper rifle but I prefer the L96 or the M24.
It's all about timing the right shot, and when exactly to stop moving. I also noticed that you go to crouch position most the time that you're shooting the rifle. I do the same thing. It does take some practice to figure out how much time you need to stand still before you take your shot. But you definately don't need to hold still for 1-2 seconds. all it needs is a fraction of a second, but if you shoot on the move it is often unlikey to hit a target at greater distance. All targets you shot while moving were pretty close so I have no doubt at all that you have mastered the scope in BF2 very well.

Maybe we'll meet some day for a little duel
Looking forward to your next movie.

Here is sniper video that I did a while ago maybe you're interested in it. It's about 40megs in size, and sometimes the shots are a bit out of synch. But it was my first movie. No thread hijacking intended though :)

We're talking about numaric perfection here. The computer can make those long range shots with ease. From work on AI in the past, I can tell you that the biggest problem coding up game AI is usually to dumb them down to the level of a player.

Gah. I had this project on the go where I AI was just an amazing pain. Either it was stupid to the point of being as harmless as a retarded kitten with one leg, or it was an uber ninja on speed with the eyes of an eagle and the reflexes of lightening bolt. Since I'd not worked with AI before, it took me awhile to figure out that the impossed randomness had to be applied lightly while still evenly. Eventually I got a good balance, but it was a pain.

Er, that's a bit off topic.

                        Slightly more on topic:
Cheaters do tend to suck more than legit players. They depend on their "coded skills" and never develop the situational awareness that the rest of us build up as their core skill. The easiest way to bust a cheater is to watch for amazing shots, but an utter lack of smart tactical movement.

Attempting to inform people like you that they’re not as smart as they think is on par with trying to explain Picasso to Stevie Wonder.

Why don’t you go read some Archie’s or something?
