Keyboard and mouse stop working in game??

Ok so long story short I got ****ed and smashed the sh*t out of my keyboard and my computer responded by going into safe mode.. Musta pressed one of the magic buttons.. so I turn it back on and start up bf2 no problem.. login to my account and all my settings are default.. ok thats weird, so I reset em to normal and go into the game (everything working at this point).. as soon as I start actually playing the game I cant use my mouse or keyboard aside from alt-tab / alt-f4 and other windows shortcuts. I dont get it and I dont want to reinstall BF2. its doing this in special forces and vanilla!! I think it has something to do with my account not being logged out maybe? thx

Try going into Options -> Controls and reset settings to default. This usually fixes it.

delete the Battlefield2 Folder in your documents n settings or my documents folder..this will fix the problem

Did you smash it while you were playing BF2? God only knows what you did in that case. Try doing what justblazing said. It may work. If not I think you're gonna have to let your PC sit while reinstalling BF2 :P. Maybe next time you won't smash your KB up! Seems like bad things always happen in spades.
