I was watching a demo of myself playing the other day and I noticed something: when you crouch you are lower than you are when you crouch-walk (moving while crouched). Now this may not sound all that significant to most but I break games down so I can play them as effectively and efficiently as possible. Has anyone else noticed a difference in seeing your opponant between these two ways? Do the hitboxes move with the visual or do they not?
This is importent because in CS:S for example (havent really played but I know the properties of the game) you can crouch behind a box and what you see is the box in front of you. In reality though you see from your characters neck so while you see the box, your opponant can see you clearly. This same could be true with BF2 and if the hitboxes match the figure you can still be shot. I know Ive knifed my fair share of people in the foot when theyre legs are sticking out of the wall. Anyone noticed this besides me? How accurate are the hit boxes to the figure?
