Re: afterburner
and if you die in the game...you die in real life.
lol...seriously though...it gives you a large boost in speed, don't know if it can make the jet explode as i am mostly on the ground. -

Re: afterburner
Can i reccommend using it to try and escape when you've got missiles on your tail, or to help you pull up after making a ground attack run. also, it helps you get to where you're going faster. no, it wont make you blow up.Comment

Re: afterburner
LOL! I remember those days of the demo where people didn't know how to use afterburners.
Facts:
They boost the speed of planes
They can't make it blow up
You can only use them for X amount of time, then they have to "recharge".Comment

Re: afterburner
yes, afterburner makes you explode. if you go too fast you will explode, but you will get a warning that makes a loud beep and little red square will come up. if this happens hold back on your seyboard or joystick to slow down and dont speed up until the warning goes away.
hope this helps.Comment

Like he said, theres like a little red box that pops up and starts beeping when your engine is overheating. The best way of getting around this, is to just slow down. The best way to slow down fast, is to press "S" and try to get down to about 100 speed, but make sure you aren't above 100 altitude, because you will blow up do to the low air pressure.Comment

Re: afterburner
Yeah, if you don't check the engine before you take off, you can have a false landing, make sure you go engineer and take out the rench.
While your at it , if you press Alt + F4, you can get a list of options of what to check so its all good.Comment
