Since there have been a lot of different opinions about this, I hope this poll will help us figure out what percentage of the people playing BF2 care, and what percentage don't care about their stats.

Re: Do stats matter?
I like the stats to see my own progress. I'm not so much interested in comparing myself to anyone in the top 10 though. -

Same here. I think it's really interesting to see EXACTLY what you've done since you started playing the game.Originally posted by smythBSDI like the stats to see my own progress. I'm not so much interested in comparing myself to anyone in the top 10 though.Comment

Same. Think about it, stat's are a double edged sword.Comment

Re: Do stats matter?
Good point. I remember even the games that I was playing 15 years ago in single player of course, I liked those that had ranks and recognitions better than the rest of them. And it was purely for myself back than too, since multiplayer games didn't even exist.Originally posted by fzuazoAs stated above, I am interested in stats purely for self improvement only.Comment

I can see that this poll is progressing as expected. So for the people thinking I'm and idiot for being concerned about my stats, need I say anything more? I guess telling them to STFU wouldn't be necessary.Comment

Re: Do stats matter?
I like them. I use them more as a measurement of my own improvement than I do to compare myself with others.Comment

Re: Do stats matter?
stats aren't the first reason you should play the game, first reason should be having fun, but I like the stats, you get rewards and stuff, you can share what you have done already in the game, there are ranks, wich is nice to see ingame who is a long timer or who is new, stats is a very nice feature , just don't take it to seriousComment

Re: Do stats matter?
I dont care about medals and ribbons as much as I care about ranks and unlocks. Since that wasnt an option, but the two are currently not mutually exclusive, I selected yes.Comment

True, same here I play for fun, but I like the stats and awards, but sometimes I get ****ed off with some of the **** people do, played a round in Karkand and obviously some noob trying to get his Explosives badge, but what a noob, he kept running into the alleyway and putting C4 at his feet and blowing up whoever came to shoot him, he only got one kill and a no more in the process, and he continued this over and over. Next someone else trying to get their explosives badge or whatever, kept putting claymores in the alleway on the hill where it was our only spawn as US at the moment.Originally posted by rombaftstats aren't the first reason you should play the game, first reason should be having fun, but I like the stats, you get rewards and stuff, you can share what you have done already in the game, there are ranks, wich is nice to see ingame who is a long timer or who is new, stats is a very nice feature , just don't take it to serious
Another thing that annoys me is the negligence to teamwork, ok fair enough if enough or all flags are capped then ok, but last round I played in Wake Island, I went commander, all my team did was yipykiyay into the jets and helicopter etc, but while the USMC was taking over every spawn, jets were too busy bombing the carrier, and for some reason everyone else was spread into about 30 different locations all on there own, so in a matter of 5-10 minutes every spawn was taken.Comment
