Graphics Lagging Issue

My card recently started lagging when im playing, mostly during the beginning of the game. any ideas what i can do to smooth it out?

There may not be alot of space left on your drive where Windows is.

I have the same problem--when I first join a server or load a new map, it takes 30-45s for everything to seem to "catch up". After that,though, no problems.

Same problem.

Its really lame, as usually you wil spawn infront of a tank/jetwhore who will kill you while you flail around.

When I first installed BF2, I could only run it on low settings, and it still lagged. But for some reason, I can use one medium setting now and there's no problem. Maybe it takes time for you PC to adjust to playing BF2 or something.

since patch 1.22 BF2 uses more memory (200mb I am told), I was getting a lot of graphics stutter until I started turning off background processes when I played, Finally I got tired of that and just went from 1 to 2 Gig RAM no more stutter
