I know this is a touchy subject but if you are playing spec ops, how do you demo the enemy commander assets without being accused of camping the uncappable base? Do you sneak in, demo, sneak out (not always possible)? Do you only kill those people who get in your way? Or do you just go out guns'a'blazin and take as many with you as possible before you get overwhelmed?

Typically, a good admin will allow you to blow up enemy assets. I think the attacking uncappable flag restriction is usually for vehicle whores like the J-10s on wake so that the Marines have some chance of winning.Comment

Sneak in, barrel in, whatever. Taking out commander assets is a primary mission of spec ops. If someone calles you a camper tell them to **** off or grow up.
If a commander uses a crate to repair the assets, then resupply your C4 and blow them up again. If they are ****ed then it is their own fault for misusing their assets.

most servers do not care whether or not spec ops enter an un-cap base, what they care about is if they just sit there and kill people as they spawn
if you have to kill a few people so you can get your mission done, then thats fine, but if you dont leave, thats when people get piissyComment

I enter the base, blow it all up, and kill anyone who I see at the time. Then leave. To me, that's not camping/spawn-raping. Sure, I shoot guys if they spawn there, but that's because it's them or me, and I'm not keen on staring at the "critically wounded" screen.
I don't sit around at the flag if it's uncappable (if it is cappable though, then I'll make a play to turn it, while I'm there), and I don't wait in a vehicle to mow down anyone who appears. I'm in and out just as quick as I can arrange it - it's dangerous to linger there, because you're usually alone and without the protection of your squadmates you're easy pickings.Comment

I generally only blow them up in passing. And this doesn't happen often on uncappable bases. However I generally sneak in, blow some stuff up and bug out.
One of the best rounds I had was on Dalian plant as the Chinese. I was seriously tearing up the back base, running from blowing up arty, blowing up UAV and spiking Blackhawks. Didn't kill many guys, only those who came for me.
Easier to do when the base isn't the only base. Especially in things like Karkand and Cleansweep. Let the badguys take another base and then sneak up on their stuff and blow it up.
And then steal a heli/apc/whatever and bug out.

If i go spec ops i go in blow everything up and steal anything i can like a tank or attack heli drive it back give it to someone (that i trust can use it) then go back and do the same again.
EDIT:- That way your messing up there commander and your stealing valuable assets there team needs aswell a double whammy to the enemy team.Comment

on my Operation Clean Sweep SP Expert game yesterday I did the following:
1) HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) Dived into the enemy main base along with my Support Squadmate
2) Pulled out the C4 and blew the UAV and Radar Trailers, Both Howitzers and every frakkin' vehicle I could find except for one Su-34
3) Assassinated the enemy commander and hauled ass to the remaining Su-34 before the enemy could figure out what I was doing and kill me
4) Rinsed and RepeatedComment

There is no way you can not baserape while destroying commander assets, you are making a handicap for the enemy team and the admin won't tolerate this. This is fair play you know [/sarcasm]
I think there is a bigger question regarding baseraping. Imagine this: You are a spec ops who destroys commander assets, suddenly an enemy comes nearby, you try to hide because otherwise, you would get banned. The question is, Is it OK if i kill an enemy at an uncappable when he's discovered my location, or do i have to surrender and let him kill me for the sake of getting to a certain game server?Comment
