Night Map Shutdown!

Maybe this should be in the "support" section but it seems that people ask technical questions in this section too.

Anyway... I have a problem. I bought SF yesterday. Everything works fine except the night maps. I havent been able to play a single one! I don't really know what the problem is... Special Forces just shut downs when it loads Objects at 15%! Does anyone how to fix this?

Try updating your video card drivers. If that doesn't work, reinstall the game.

It seemed to work, updating the drivers that is. I still think it's weird tho ^^

interestingly, this problem STARTED for me AFTER i updated + patched. Fresh install too ill have you know.

i still cant figure it out :S

I didn't reinstall the game. I updated my drivers to my graphic card. It works fine now.

I cannot find any servers running night maps. This is a huge bummer because Devil's Perch is a great map.

For future reference...

Ever wonder why XP rarely ever blue screens? Becuase when it would normally blue screen microsoft has windows restart your comp instead of giving you an error number to track down...ya know something that might be useful....

Anyway heres how to stop it from restarting, it probably wont fix your problem but your comp wont reset:

1) Go to control panel > Open "System"
2) Click the advanced tab
3) Click the "Settings" button in the "Start up and Recovery" area.
4) Under the "System Failure" area uncheck "Automatically Restart"
5) Hit OK and close

Now cause it to crash on purpose and it should give you a blue screen error. Write down some basic info on the error code it give you and search it on google.

Meh, I dont blue screen.. The only night map I liked was leviathan anyway so its not such a loss for me.

delete you old drives (download news ones first but dont install) use drive cleaner, install new ones, go to properties, set resolution
