Yeah that's if you're parallel to the ground. If you do a "turn" at 45 degree angle to the ground, or a "loop".. same thing. You may be high up, but going downwards makes you able to turn sharper.

Awesome manuevers Metallica. Do you use keyboard or joystick? If joystick which one? Is it modified in any way for sending faster signals? Try as I might I'm not able to make a plane manuever like this with either joystick or keyboard. Are you using a game pad maybe? When I see you do it, it almost looks like a paper airplane flipping around. Wild stuff. I'd love to be able to do that. BF2 rocks. :)

It's funny how metallicaguitrst tries to sound intelligent as to flight dynamics.

Your aircraft shakes like that at high speeds due to ocillations in the harmonic waves going over the flight surfaces, basicly the wing starts to lose lift, of course it's added in game just for effect at a certain speed. Nice try, but it's not because your stick movements are amplified at high speed, it's a fly-by-wire AC.

At higher speeds your turn radius is increased proportional to it's speed, it doesn't matter if your 45* to the deck, it's simply acceleration to distance ratio.
Matter-in-fact, you lose airspeed and lift as you increase your AOA.
All AC have an optimum turn speed as to where the turn radius is at it's minimum at a certain air speed. OR, the faster you are the larger your turning radius.......period.

Going 4000knots @ 1000ft asl will cause your AC to break apart in quick time, the wings would simply fly in their own direction, probably in a different direction than the AC. I laugh when I just think about it.


Now!! I realize that this is only BF2 and the flight dynamics are elementary at best, but you trying to sound like a fighter jock is simply hillarious.

the fastest i have gone in a jet is 1,800 so 2,600 is a bit extreme

Hell yeah... after I shoot down both J-10's, I think I am pretty much entitled to do whatever the hell I want..

I mean it's not like it's China's only base... you can pick any of the other ones if you don't want to die..

And obviously, sitting on the chopper/jet pad isn't gonna help your K/D ratio and it's pretty predictable...

I finally got called a hacker the other day. I'm so proud. Not jet related but still pretty funny.

I was playing Karkand as a sniper on the USMC side. I walked up the west side hills and took the suburbs without any resistance so I started down to the train accident. Instead of walking down the middle of the road like a noob, I was staying right on the border of the map and hiding between buildings. I get all the way down to the train accident and now I am over by the little guard house to the north of it. I see a few guys running across the bridge so I pick them off. One sees me but I kill him before he can fire. He respwns and I kill him a few more times. Finally he starts talking **** about me and saying things like, "Nice hax. Is coming out of the wrong side of the TA the new uber cheat?" I just laughed and said that I was sorry for not running straight into his bullets for him like a good little player.
