bf2 wont run with norton internet security on

i always was able to play bf2 with norton on , but ever since i patch i just get a black screen and bf2 wont run i have to pull the plug from the wall to be able to restart my computer,
i have check norton and bf2 is in the allow list, i dont get whats up
in other to play i have to turn off norton to be able to play
any help is appreciated

Try setting allow to ask. When BF2 starts, select it so is allowed and choice is saved.

This way a change in the bf2.exe is allowed, like after patching. Most firewalls detect this and ask you if still want to allow it. Maybe you missed it when it asked, after you patched.

Noton sucks fat pipe mate.

I got rid of it ages ago an been using avg / zonealarm with no probs.

I think it was 1942 that Norton used to crash to desktop on every map and I haven't had it installed since.

true Norton is well crap tbqh

also zonealarm pro is v.good its response's to new virus's is better than some other virus programs,

lol, learn to use the Internet properly and carefully. Then you'll only have to run a scan every once in a while just to make sure nothing slipped through.

Back to the real issue what are you doing playing bf2 with norton running for? I have norton as wel but I disable it for playing games. Unless you have a beast of a machine, surely having norton running in the background uses up some system resources?
