BattleField Crashing at 62%

Fresh installation of Windows XP. ALl drivers up to date.

SIngal player or multiplayer, when i try to join a game, it loads until 62% and then crashes.

Ive re installed serveral times.
Any ideas!?

this is just a wild guess but when i change my video settings, it usually stalls at 62% abit before it fully loads when i put my settings on high. what im guessing is you probably have your settings too high?

I had a friend whose system kept crashing there.

He had to re-download patch.
Said that file had gotten corrupted somehow on download.

After that - he said it worked fine. Just an idea.

Yes, redownload the patch from somewhere else like suggested. So I think you need to reinstal BF2 and instal the patches agian. I had this problem when I instaled 1.22 patch!
