    XFX Geforce 7900GT

Anyone have one of these? the version with core clock speed of 520MHZ.

If so reviews, comments, screenshots, game settings, overclockability would be good.

well I dont, but from what I have heard withi people who have it it depends, some XFX pre oCed cards (this one too) artifact from the factory, all you have to do is clock the memory back down, but its kinda of annoying you paid extra for an OC you couldnt use. so it depends about that, it can probably be OCed a little more if it doesnt artifact right away. I mean, lil jimmynorton is watercooling his and he clocked it like crazy.

and his performs better than my TWO 6800gs's. thats all the help i can give, i would get one but theres no reason.

Jimmy is right on the money. If I needed any help Id ask him. I have a 7800 gt oc and its jacked up a little but I was only able to get a 3dmark score of 4950. So I guess he knows a few tricks I havent learned yet. . . . . . . .Red

I have a stock 7800GT and it runs great, although I might get a new fan for it.

Jimmy/Eden, could you give me a small review, like pros/cons on the card and what settings you could get on games like BF2, F.E.A.R., Oblivion etc and maybe some screenshots, even from your BF2 folder.

                Re: XFX Geforce 7900GT

Well I can play BF2 with all settings on high and it runs fairly smoothly (for bf2 anyway) but i normally turn down a few settings to gain a few more fps.

I can run Oblivion quite well at 1600x1200, HDR & everything full & on quite well again if i wanted more fps id turn down a few settings (i think im getting around 30 fps) but since its a single player game I can sacrifice the fps for the beautiful graphics.

k thanks. Do you have any screenshots? and is Oblivion good, I know no doubt a stupid question because of all the reviews but im a fps junkie. So let me rephrase that question. Would Oblivion appeal to the fps junkie?

If you like massive landscapes, lots of quests, a decent story, good fights and 300 hours of content then yes.

Here's a screen of Oblivion, be warned its 3.5MB

Picture shows fully in 3 secs. Well sounds good, but do you think you could give me a approx on what settings I could play the game on?

Everything on high most likely, you can tweek quite a few of the settings in Oblivion (view distances for seperate types of things etc.) so the graphics are very good even on lower spec computers.
