BFG GeForce 7600GT is a beastly overclocker look!

I OC'd my card from the stock 460mhz core to 640 and memory clock from stock 1300 to 1612! I haven't gotten ay instablility and it idles at 58 degrees celsius. After 2 hours of BF2, it went up to 62! I love this card!

60C is just fine for a GPU, even 70C would be fine.

idling at 58 is high, but the load is fine. thats odd that it would load only 4c above idle, and that the idle is that hot... but w/e. congratz.

How many FPS do you get in BF2?

Also aren't there speed limitations because of the less pipelines and 128bit interface?

Well at 1 gig of ddr ram i get around 50 fps at highest settings on everything and 4X antialiasing but im going to upgrade to two gigs

You can overclock more because there's less stress on the gpu.

Damn, I'm buying a 7600GTCO 256MB, do you think it could get near that in OC'ing. I heard it could almost OC to a 7800, not sure of the authenticity of this but anyhting close would be great. Any screenshots of a 7600GT in action?

Don't get the EVGA card.The BFG is cheaper on newegg. I had the evga and it had a really whiny sounding fan that overheated quickly. I returned and got the BFG and its a beaut. The warranty is nice too.

every type of card is overclocking better than they used to say 3 years back you can usually get at least a 15% overclock on nearly all geforce 7 or x1k card

anyone know why this is?

I think it is because people tend to look at clock speeds more than memory etc. Companies will factory overclock their cards to out perform the competition. Also new graphic card design allows you to overclock alot more.

And actually the EVGA card is cheaper with better clock speeds and better performance. Aswell as the XFX brand.

yeah id like to see that... i have decided to go with the 7600 GT, now my only other decision is wether to get the EVGA or XFX, im leaning in the direction of XFX because it has higher clock speeds.
